Only once you are advanced. Running Man is fast, overlapping variety-show banter, so it's great for catching how friends joke in Korean but overwhelming if you are still learning to follow one speaker at a time.

Why it works for learners
The show's value is the sheer quantity of spontaneous Korean, with a fixed cast whose habits and running jokes grow familiar over time. Games and missions mean the same instructions and rule explanations keep recurring, so you learn how people negotiate, accuse and plead. Korean variety shows also tend to put captions on screen for jokes and reactions, which gives you some reading support. With over 800 episodes, you can dip in anywhere and never run out.
What makes it hard
Several people shout at once and interrupt each other, so catching whole sentences is often impossible. Jokes rely on years of shared history between cast members and on Korean pop culture. Long episodes of 90 minutes can feel exhausting if you are concentrating.
How to use it
Don't start at episode one. Choose a guest or game that interests you and watch only one mission at a time. Replay a short argument and pick out two teasing phrases. Follow what the on-screen captions highlight, as they often flag the punchline.
