Yes, at intermediate level. Benigni talks fast but clearly, and his comedy gives you lively, spoken Italian with lots of visible action, though the second half is a heavy subject that makes it hard to treat as simple practice.

Why it works for learners
Benigni's speech is the attraction. He talks almost nonstop, but with crisp articulation, so it trains your ear for speed without slang getting in the way. The first half uses playful courtship, jokes and repetition, including running gags that return later, so you get to hear phrases more than once. At 116 minutes it can be watched in one evening, and the Italian classic's fame makes it easy to discuss with Italians.
What makes it hard
Benigni's pace and word games can outrun you, particularly when he is improvising a story on the spot. Some moments in the later part involve German and rely on translation for effect. The emotional weight may also make stopping to rewind feel wrong.
How to use it
Watch through once for the film, without pausing. Later, return to a comic scene from the first half and listen again with Italian subtitles if you can find them. Note the phrases Guido repeats to his family, and practise saying them at speed.
