Is Langsam Gesprochene Nachrichten | Audios | DW Deutsch lernen good for learning German?
Add to my listYes, once you are at upper intermediate level. DW reads real news slowly, so the pace is forgiving even if the language is not, which makes it a strong way to practise the formal German of newspapers and broadcasts.

Why it works for learners
Learner podcasts rarely go near this register. The bulletins use genuine news language about politics, economics and international events, with the same formal structures and vocabulary every time. Since topics recur from day to day, words like negotiations, sanctions or elections soon become familiar. Unlike podcasts made for beginners, the text has not been simplified in the same way, only slowed, and a text version lets you check what you heard.
What makes it hard
Slow delivery does not reduce the difficulty of passive constructions, compound nouns and reported speech with the subjunctive. If you do not follow the news, you lose background too. It is also a formal register, so do not expect it to help you with casual conversation.
How to use it
Listen to one bulletin daily, once without the text and once with it. Choose one item and retell it aloud in two sentences. Collect the recurring compound nouns. When it feels easy, switch to normal-speed news and keep the same routine.
